British PM arrives on 2-day India visit

Bangalore, July 28 (IBNS) Prime Minister David Cameron arrived here on Wednesday on a two-day India visit to strengthen the UK-India relationship and promote increased trade and investment.

The PM has been joined by a number of Government ministers and a high-level delegation of representatives of UK business, industry, sport and culture.

The PM and his delegation travelled by a special flight, which landed at HAL airport shortly after midnight.

He was received at the airport by Karnataka Home minister Dr V S Acharya, DGP Ajai Kumar Singh and Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari.

Cameron will meet Bangalore Governor H R Bhardwaj on Wednesday morning before visiting the campus of IT bellwether Infosys.

He will also visit the HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) complex.
