Chevrolet Caprice Is Designed for Police Needs
It will be possible to see the new Chevrolet Caprice police patrol in April 2011. Departments can start making orders in January. As a matter of fact, the new car will join the Tahoe and Impala that are created specifically for police.
The new Chevy will be available with a 6.0-liter V8 engine. Apart from that it can run on E85 and it features active fuel-management system of General Motors.
Front seats of the car have enough room to wear a gun belt. Also the car features airbags that can be found on both sides. The front of car is separated from the back with the help of a full-width prisoner partition.
The Caprice has the center console that is used for equipment mounting. As for the dash, it will be equipped with a “Trap Speed” feature that is responsible for measuring speed in case of pacing another car.
